PRIVACY POLICY

Effective as of March 17, 2025 (Updated from March 01, 2018)

SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of information through our website and business operations. Important Note: This policy specifically addresses website and operational privacy practices, and is separate from the confidentiality rules that apply during actual mediation proceedings.

The confidentiality protections, limitations, and exceptions that apply to the mediation process itself are governed by:

  • Applicable mediation laws and regulations

  • Specific mediation agreements signed by the parties

  • Professional standards for mediators

  • Court rules (where applicable)

Parties to mediation will receive separate and specific information about confidentiality protections and limitations as they apply to their mediation proceedings. This website privacy policy does not modify or supersede those mediation-specific confidentiality terms.

RELATIONSHIP TO MEDIATION CONFIDENTIALITY

While this Privacy Policy governs website data and general business operations, DSSADR's mediation services involve separate confidentiality protections:

The confidentiality of mediation sessions is governed by separate agreements, applicable laws, and professional standards, which are explained to all parties at the beginning of the mediation process.

Information about specific cases, proceedings, and dispute resolution outcomes is protected under those separate confidentiality provisions, not this Privacy Policy.

For questions about mediation confidentiality (as opposed to website privacy), please inquire during your consultation or mediation session.
